I am
Tired
Lonely
Desperate
And I know there is no human help for me
I have to
Keep working
With no one to talk to
For two more years
And I know my strength is gone
I need
Comfort
Protection
Carrying
And there is no one for the burden.
I am again in that small room
All walls and no doors
Waiting for rescue
God give me patience.
Give me strength to wait.
It’s Sunday morning and Andy very kindly took the kids to church so I could have some time alone. I wrote this poem, and then I got up to go to the bathroom.
Then I went to turn off the CD player, because I couldn’t hear the music over the rain on the tin roof. And because the music wasn’t helping.
In all honesty, I was a little angry. Because I was trying to do all the right things to get to God and make it better and it wasn't working.
Just as I got to the player to turn it off, this song started:
Say to those who are fearful hearted,
Do not be afraid
The Lord your God is strong
And with his mighty arms
When you call on his name
He will come and save.
Say to those who are broken hearted,
Do not lose your faith
The Lord your God is strong and with his loving arms
When you call on his name
He will come and save.
Yes, He will come and save you
He will come and save you
Say to the weary one
Your God will surely come
He will come and save you.
