I promised I would get rid of stuff this week, and I'm working on it. But I found a good reason to buy stuff this week, too. (I'm sneaky that way.)
"Blessing Bags," ta-da! (Thank you, Pinterest.)
The idea is to put together a few necessities in bags you can keep in your car. When you meet up with somebody in need, you're ready to share.
After fellow Summer of 7 blogger, Alene, wrote about socks for the homeless on her blog the other day, socks were a no-brainer.
I put in a little notebook and pen because I think everybody's thoughts deserve to be heard, and a journal is a good place to start.
There's hand wipes, a travel toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, and a comb in there--and my favorite kind of granola bar. I think this time of year, I need to carry some bottled water, too.
I made 7 of them. Of course.
Wonder how long it will take me to get rid of this stuff?
