Yup. I quit already. I said I'd only wear 7 items of clothing this week, but I'm not gonna. Here's why:
1. I don't want to.
2. Everybody else is doing it, and I want to do something different.
The plan for this week has been bugging me ever since I started the Summer of 7. The other weeks I could all get my head around. But this one... I don't know. I just don't think clothes are a problem for me.
Don't get me wrong, I like clothes. A lot. But I don't think I'm out of control.
I asked my husband if I am in denial, and he said no. I'm fine. I don't have too many clothes and I don't spend too much money on them. He even said I could write any statement I wanted and he would sign it here on the blog, if y'all don't believe me. He said what I should do instead is...
HAVE FASHION BLOG WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this man!
More every day.
What in the world could Fashion Blog Week have to do with getting rid of excess, you may wonder?
Well, a lot of my clothes come from thrift stores. I just whipped through the shirts on my hangers and it went something like this: thrift, Target, Costco, Costco, Costco, thrift, thrift, thrift, Target, thrift, thrift.
Other people get rid of their excess, and I am happy to pick it up on the cheap, and look cute in the process.
So here's the new plan for clothing week:
1. Keep a record of how many items of clothing I actually do wear this week, just out of curiosity.
2. Show you around the world of thrift--recycling at its funnest!
